Oprna Bay Beach

Oprna Bay Beach is located near Stara Baška, one of the most charming villages on the island and it is one of the most stunning hidden beaches on Krk. If you would like to visit it, you should prepare for a short hike from the main road so be sure you are in good physical condition, wear suitable shoes and take enough water with you. You can swim, snorkel or just relax at the beautiful beach. It’s worth the hike!

The Pod Kovač Beach

Pod Kovač Beach is hidden from the passengers’ view, surrounded by steep cliffs and reached through a hidden entrance and it is located on the outside part of the Vrbnik’s port. It is one of the most hidden beaches where you can completely relax in the deep shade in the afternoon if you want to escape the summer heat. If you would like to have a delicious dinner with a glass of “žlahtina” wine, we recommend you to check the nearby restaurant.

The Golden Bay Beach

Golden Bay Beach, also known as Velo Čelo or Velo Čelo Beach is ideal for those seeking a more private and untouched experience. It is situated on the western coast of the island of Krk, between Stara Baška and Punat. Golden Bay is known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters with the surrounding cliffs that provide impressive scenery. This beach is reachable only by boat which makes it even more exclusive. You can rent a boat in the nearby towns, such as Krk, Punat or Baška, or you can book an organised boat tour.

There are no facilities or amenities on the beach, so you have to think about bringing your food and water and, of course, take the trash with you after you leave the bay.

Love’s Cave Bay

One of the beaches which is also stunning and worth a visit, is Love’s Cabe Bay on the small uninhabited island of Plavnik (which lies to the southwest of Krk island). The beach is famous for the cave, known as Love’s Cave.

The cave features a large entrance and a not-so-high ceiling, creating a captivating atmosphere. The interior of the cave is illuminated by the sunshine that filters through the top of the cave, making beautiful reflections on the water. The crystal-clear waters around Plavnik are perfect for swimming and snorkelling. The visibility is excellent, allowing visitors to explore the underwater world and observe marine life.

As this beach and cave are only accessible by boat, it is a completely exclusive spot. You can rent a boat from Krk, or Baška and Punat, or take the boat tour. The boat tours include stops at other nearby attractions (such as Golden Bay) and provide insights into the local history and wildlife.

It offers a designated area where dogs are welcome, allowing pet owners to enjoy a day at the beach with their furry friends.
