They have all the reasons to start getting excited; we just can’t wait for them to sniff out all the wowsome treats we’ve prepared. As soon as they step their paws into our hotel, they’ll enjoy some serious VID treatment, the Very Important Dogs that they are.
Dear Guests With Furry Friends, Welcome!
Let’s start with all the in-room amenities. Right as they jump over the room threshold, they can sniff out the doggy welcome pack. You’ll get your own, too, so don’t worry about sharing. We’ve packed in a welcome treat for your canine friend, as well as a bowl for yummy munchies and drinks during the stay. You’ll enjoy amazing food for sure so we didn’t want them to miss out; Croatia is known for being seriously good to foodies of all species. They’ll also find a new toy in the welcome pack; that’s just a little something to chew on while they ponder chasing after that squirrel who lives up on the tree next door.
Tips for a Holiday With Your Pet
Make sure to check out the Wow Wow guide we’ve put together for you, so you can upgrade your holidays from awesome to paw some. The Adriatic coast is so great that it’s highly unlikely you’ll spend much time indoors. We’re sure your furry friends will enjoy plenty of chases after the unknown on pretty seaside walks, as well as loads of paw splashing at dog-friendly beaches. If you like culture and history, fear not; your four-legged companion can join you on many city tours. They’ll have to play nice-nice on a leash, but there are perks involved. In Dubrovnik and Poreč, cats and pigeons are as frequent as stunning palaces and churches – so while they do their sightseeing, you can do yours. Exploring the outdoors is another highlight. In the national parks, keep them on a leash and ask them to be on their best behaviour.
To give them an off-the-leash experience, head off the beaten trail. They can bark their heart out on the Seven Waterfalls Trail in Istria: thundering waters will muffle their roar. They can roam freely on a hike up the Biokovo mountain above Makarska and perhaps meet some new friends, from lizards and butterflies to dormice, hare and the Balkan chamoix. And then, there are boat trips! Yes, you heard that right; your furry friends can come along on many boat trips, which are so much fun. It’s perfect photo op time; have them strike a pose with their ears flapping and their tongue hanging out. On a yachting tour around the Elaphiti islands near Dubrovnik, or the Four Islands tour from Krk island, they can even go to where no dog has gone before: the caves. Make sure to bring a waterproof camera. You may want to chill, and you’ll get to that in due time.
But first, there’s plenty more to do! At Isabella Valamar Collection Resort and Valamar Tamaris Resort in Poreč and the Girandella Valamar Collection Resort in Rabac you must check out the doggy parks, fenced in for your dog’s safety and fun and with loads of furry friends they can play with. When you feel like staying in and ordering room service, your pups can join you (at select properties).
