Take More Than a Magnet from Dubrovnik
Everyone loves bringing home souvenirs, but Dubrovnik offers more meaningful treasures than a magnet or a postcard. The city is a place of rich history and culture, and it offers art, traditional jewellery and crafts, to timeless flavours that will remind you of the Adriatic days for so long. Not to forget plenty of Game of Thrones memorabilia!
Even though there are many souvenir shops in Dubrovnik Old Town, from the traditional to contemporary ones, in this guide, we would like to inspire you and encourage you to explore unique galleries, studios and artisan shops that carry the soul of Dubrovnik. If you choose something for you or your loved ones from these studios and galleries, it is like carrying a little piece of Dubrovnik’s culture home with you.
Exquisite Red Coral Jewellery – Clara Stones

Clara Stones Dubrovnik – a boutique renowned for its exquisite red coral jewellery, blending Mediterranean tradition with contemporary design.
When I stepped into this little shop full of artistry, I immediately found out that it was something truly special. Nestled in the little street in the heart of Dubrovnik Old Town, Clara Stones drew me in with its displays of vibrant red coral. I knew beforehand that coral is one of the most precious souvenirs that you can take from Dubrovnik; each piece is like a fragment of the Adriatic brought to life. I soon learned that coral has a long history in Mediterranean tradition, and it has a protective and symbolic meaning.
Therefore, I was really looking forward to discovering something more about the coral craftsmanship: delicate necklaces, bold rings, and timeless earrings, each one carefully designed by hand. What impressed me most was the respect Clara Stones shows for the sea itself; they are deeply committed to sustainable coral sourcing, ensuring that these treasures are created responsibly.

At Clara Stones Dubrovnik, visitors can see raw red coral up close and learn how these natural fragments are transformed into exquisite handmade jewellery
Therefore, holding a piece of their jewellery felt like holding a story and choosing Clara Stones felt like a perfect decision if you wanted to make an impact.
Sebastian Art Gallery – Contemporary Art with a Local Soul

Inside SebastianArt Gallery Dubrovnik, a vibrant space where contemporary art, local craftsmanship, and unique creations come together in a beautifully curated setting.
When I wandered into SebastianArt Gallery, I felt like I’d stumbled into a little haven of creativity hidden among Dubrovnik’s stone streets. The walls of this gallery were alive with colour and texture: paintings, sculptures, and contemporary works… Each piece felt like a conversation between Dubrovnik’s heritage and the wider world of modern art. What made the visit even more memorable was the warmth of the gallery’s curator, Ms. Anja Jelić. She welcomed me with a genuine smile and took the time to share stories about the artists and their inspirations. Her passion for the art was contagious, and she made me feel less like a visitor and more like a guest stepping into a creative community. Thank you, Anja!

Slatko kao Cukar – Where Tradition Meets Contemporary Design
Slatko kao Cukar is a boutique studio in Dubrovnik where tradition meets contemporary design, owned by Ms. Elena Vračarić, whom we met and who was really kind and open to our questions. As we could see in the studio, they offer handcrafted pieces inspired by local culture, from small-batch creations to some cooperation with global brands.
You can find hand-painted ceramic including beautifully crafted serving boards and decorative plates, such as the “Grad” and “Smokva” designs, a homeware collection, the uniquely shaped and hand-poured candles – designed with a creative and artisanal flair, textiles and small accessories such as items in their “Šugamani i burse” range (bags and small cloth goods).

But there is something really interesting for all the art lovers, but also people in search of some interesting workshops that can boost their creativity. The studio hosts immersive workshops and creative experiences, so visitors can take home something beautiful and connect with Dubrovnik’s artistic heritage. These workshops are often organised outdoors, in different ambience, and they include different skills – from painting to pottery, and are open to different skill levels, making it fun.

Little Art and Souvenir Shop – Mushula
Mushula is a delightful little art and souvenir shop that feels more like a gallery of creativity than a tourist stop. It specialises in handmade pieces inspired by the sea and local traditions, and it offers everything from playful illustrations and unique jewellery, but it is different from the classic souvenir shops.

Konavle Traditional Embroidery Studio
Konavle embroidery is a cultural tradition from the Konavle region. It is a centuries-old craft, often worked into garments and decorative linens. Each design has symbolic meaning, typically using bold geometric shapes and a signature palette of red, black, and gold, though other colours (like turquoise and violet, seen here) are also used today.

Shops like this in Dubrovnik are usually family-run artisan studios where visitors can not only purchase unique embroidered items but also meet the craftswomen behind them, often women who have learned the skill from older generations – making this not just a souvenir shop but a living preservation of cultural heritage.
From Traditional Jewellery and Crafts to Timeless Flavours
You can bring home from Dubrovnik a piece of timeless craftsmanship, a handmade filigree jewellery or coral jewellery, even traditional lace and Konavle embroidery, and you will carry home something culturally significant. On the other hand, you can always wander into gourmet shops and pick up world-class olive oil, truffle delicacies, bottles of local wine and rakija, or traditional delights like arancini (candied orange peel).
Even lavender products from nearby fields can tuck neatly into your luggage, infusing your days with the calming scent of the Adriatic coast. Each souvenir from Dubrovnik carries a little piece of the city with it, a reminder to return one day and discover even more of its endless charms.
